Need More Coverage? Mediplanconnect Now Offers Hospital Indemnity

Hello to all our valued clients! We hope you are enjoying spring and are able to get outside and enjoy some fresh air as the temperatures warm. I must admit that I feel a bit better getting out now that I have my vaccinations. I hope that you have given serious consideration to getting a Covid vaccine. I know that it has given me an additional layer of protection and little more peace of mind.

Speaking of peace of mind, we recently were approved for a new product for our clients. The product is called “Hospital Indemnity” and it provides additional coverage for things that health insurance does not cover. Many of our clients have a Medicare Advantage plan. These are very good plans but most of these plans do have copayments for things like hospitalization, MRI’s, outpatient surgery or cancer treatment.  A hospital indemnity plan will cover the copayments for such items to help offset the copayment costs. These plans require a medical questionnaire or “underwriting” when applying for coverage. The plans typically range in price from $35 to $60 depending on the type and amount of coverage requested by the client. The coverages are flexible so a client and pick from a menu of items for coverage.

We believe that this product will help provide additional peace of mind for our clients who want additional coverage for the higher copayment costs in their plan. If you are interested in hearing more about this product, please contact your MediPlanConnect agent and they would be glad to review it with you.
